    YOUTH LEADERSHIP UPSON - Applications are still being accepted for Youth Leadership Upson.     Thurs, August 22 - Set-Up and Training for the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit 11 am to 5:30 pm
     
    Fri, August 23 - Finalize Set-Up for the Smithsonian Exhibit - with Docent Training at 2:30 pm at the 104 North Center Street Location- If you are interested in training to be a Docent, please contact the Chamber office at 706-647-9686 or just come to this location during this date and time.
     
    Sat, August 24 - TWO RIBBON CUTTINGS TAKING PLACE ON GRAND OPENING DAY! - Grand Opening of the Smithsonian Traveling Exhibit in downtown Thomaston. SPECIAL RIBBON CUTTING AT 9:30 am with guest speaker Senator David Perdue; Exhibit Opens at 10 am, Community and Volunteer Ribbon Cutting at 10:30 am; Speakers to follow, entertainment by local musicians and a Farmer's Market. Check out the Chamber's Facebook Page for more details on this event! The Exhibit is open and free to the public; Tuesday through Friday 10 am to 6 pm and Saturdays, 10 am to 2 pm.

    Thurs, September 5 - Annual Business Showcase at the T-U Civic Center - Over 50 businesses will be present, door prizes, and a 50/50 drawing. Cost is $1 per person to get into the door.
     
    Tues, September 10 - Monthly Chamber Board meeting - 8 am at the Chamber office
     
    Mon, September 16 - Annual Banquet Planning Committee Meeting
     
    Thurs, September 19 - Dine and Dash for all Chamber Members and Employees will be held at the T-U Civic Center on Sept 19 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. Everyone that RSVPs will receive a hotdog, bag of chips and a drink, just for being a Chamber member! We appreciate you and we want to let you know with this small gesture. Please RSVP if you will be attending.
     
    Mon, September 30 - Annual Chamber Board Of Directors Board Retreat, More information will be sent out to board members over the next few weeks.
