    Thursday, April 19 - Dissipating Disparities Incorporated will be partnering with Alliant Quality, Upson Regional Medical Center, and Thomaston Housing Authority to kick off our FREE 6 Week Diabetes Education Program! This program will take place at the Drake Heights Location Thomaston Housing Authority Office beginning at 10am and will held weekly. This program is open to everyone even if you do not have diabetes. Fun, Prizes, Giveaways, Tell your family, friends and church families to meet you at the Diabetes Education Program! Come out and join us for a great time learning about diabetes, self management of diabetes and prevention of a condition that is truly affecting our communities. Individuals that attend all of the classes will be eligible for a GRAND prize!     Saturday, April 28 - Thomaston Ford & Ford Motor Company have partnered with Westwood Christian Academy to have a Drive 4-UR School event to raise funds for the Athletic Department. Ford will donate $20.00 for a test drive of their vehicles and an extra $10.00 to drive the new model 2018 Expedition or 2018 EcoSport. The event will be Saturday April 21st from 9AM till 4PM at Thomaston Ford , 1011 Hwy 19 N. They will also have a Silent Auction, Live Entertainment, Food, Children Entertainment and other events. Please help support our local Schools and Community Fund raising events.
     
    Saturday, April 28 - Northridge Church is sponsoring a Priscilla Shirer simulcast on Saturday, April 28th from 9:00 - 4:30. The event will include three sessions of praise, worship and teaching by Priscilla Shirer and Tony Evans. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through Northridge link:

    2nd & 4th Thursday Each Month - The Mobile Career Center provides workforce services for individuals and businesses. Individuals may participate in various career development activities such as on-line job search, cover letter and resume writing, etc. Businesses may use the Mobile Career Center for recruiting, pre-employment screening, interviewing and training. The Mobile unit will be at Southern Crescent Technical College the 2nd and 4th Thursday
    of each month from 10 am to 2 pm.
